아래와 같이 내일(6월 3일) 오전 11시 50분부터 학교 학부모회의실에서 '중학교 학생 대상 Coding and Robotics Program'에 관한 강연회 & 질의응답 강연이 열립니다.
강연은 Dr. Jung(백제반 정윤현 학생 아빠)께서 맡아 주시게 되며 프로그램 설명 후에 질의응답 순서가 이어집니다.

뉴잉글랜드 한국학교에서는 오는 9월 가을학기 학사일정에 따라 어떤 시간 및 프로그램 참가 학생(또는 학급)을 어떻게 결정할지 함께 연구해 보고자 합니다.
Coding and Robotics Program for Middle school Students

STEM education for all is recently on the rise and more attention to K-12 education.
One of important factor to STEM education for students is to provide learning environments that can perform scientific experiments, and for hands-on activity.
Much research showed that students are not well-exposed learning environments for STEM careers, and their involvement in their environment is crucial for their advancement.
Recently, educators, education administrators, individuals, and decision-makers in the United States are trying to find methods and strategies to enhance the environment encountered.
Thus, we are proposing the coding and robotics program for 6th to 8th grade (middle school students) to enhance their motivation and awareness of computer science area.

Dr. Changyong Jung received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, located at Richmond, VA,
and master degree in Computer Science from Ball State University, located at Muncie, IN.
He is currently working at Framingham State University as an assistant professor of department of computer science. He had been working at ECPI University prior to joining in Framingham State University. Dr. Jung was selected twice as the best instructor for two consecutive years at ECPI University.
He has been teaching at higher education for 10 years. His educational philosophy is based on “Learn By Doing” that gives students opportunities to match theories and practice. As a scholar, he has developed a distinguished research pipeline with other faculty members and institutions.
He has published several research papers on international journals and conferences with topics of survivable wireless sensor networks, molecular data aggregation, and auto insulin injection system. His current research interests include wireless sensor networks, molecular communication, artificial pancreas project, and computer science education.
