Welcome and thank you for entrusting your children’s education with us!
I always look forward to this time of the year and I am so pleased to welcome all of you as we start the 2019~’20 school year. Communications through both the KSNE Homepage (www.ksneusa.org) and emails to us will help you navigate those first few exhilarating weeks of school.
We are truly blessed in a time of change. Our opening enrollment is another excellent year in that it has continued the tradition of several years of having more than sixty new students at this point. The school year has not started yet, however it appears that the KSNE’s various fall programs for the children will also have a large number of students. This represents great commitment on the part of parents to the Korean School of New England. I truly welcome you again to the Korean School of New England.
As a reminder, newly enrolling students should arrive at school by 11:30am to register. The Orientation begins at 12PM at the auditorium.
* Parking: We have a large parking lot right in front of the school building.
First Orientation Time Table (Sep. 07);
1. Register: 11:30AM~12PM in front of auditorium
2. Interview & Assessment test: 12:30~1:30PM
3. Things to bring at the Orientation: crayon (under 4yrs old), pencils and eraser for 5 year old children and up.
* If you can't make it, request me come to the 2nd Orientation instead by Sep.1, 2019.
Second Orientation Time Table (Sep.21); Reservation only
1. Register: 8:30~8:45am in Classroom #123 (Right last classroom in 1st FL)
2. Interview & level assessment test: 8:45~9:30
3. Things to bring to Orientation: crayon (under 4yrs old), pencils and eraser for 5-year-old children and up.

* We are looking for parents who can help us to teach students Korean language, Culture, especially Music and Art(craft) class or help PTO as well. Please let us know, if anyone is willing to participate.

2019학년도 신입생/복학생과 가족 여러분을 환영합니다!
신입생과 복학생과 및 병아리반에서 올라가는 어린이들과 학부모님 모두 반갑습니다!
아래와 같이 2019학년도 신입생 1차 & 2차 오리엔테이션 및 인터뷰 일정을 안내해 드립니다.
(주차장 안내: 건물 맞은편 큰 주차장에 주차하시고 건물 정문으로 들어오시면 왼편에 강당 위치)
* 신입생들은 오는 9월 7일 오리엔테이션 때 인터뷰 & 수준점검 후에 반배정을 받게 됩니다.
* 특히, 병아리반(기초준비반)과 기초-1과정(해님, 달님반)과 세종1반(이중언어과정 3.5-4세)은 가장 먼저 마감되므로 신속한 등록을 요합니다.
* 그러나, 재학생의 동생이거나 교사지원 가정의 자녀는 우선 등록이 가능합니다.
* 학부모님의 이웃에서 뉴잉글랜드 한국학교에 입학하고자 하는 경우 안내를 부탁드립니다.
(1) 신입생 1차 소집 안내
* 1차 인터뷰 일정: 2019년 9월 7일 오전 11시 30분~오후 1시 30분 (학교 강당 및 교실)
* 준비물: 4세 이하는 색연필 또는 Crayon, 5세 이상은 색연필, 연필과 지우개
* 신입생들은 선생님과 인터뷰 & 한글수준 테스트(5세 이상)를 받은 후 학급을 배정받게 됩니다.
* Place: 강당School auditorium (School address: 130 Wheeler Rd., Newton, MA 02459)
* 1차 소집에 참석하지 못하는 경우 2차 소집에 참석하겠다는 예약을 9월 1일까지 해야 합니다.
(2) 신입생 2차 소집 (미리 예약한 경우에 한하며 반배정은 임의로 하게 됨)
* 1차 소집에 참석하지 못하는 경우 미리 요청한 학생에 한해 참석이 가능하며 학급 배정은 학교에서 미리 하게 됩니다.
* Date & Time: 9월 21일 오전 8시 30분~9시 20분 (간략한 행사로 진행)
* Place: Classroom 122 (1층 왼쪽 끝 교실) : 변동될 경우 다시 안내해 드립니다.

(4) 뉴잉글랜드 한국학교 교사로 2세교육에 함께 동참하실 분을 모십니다!
* 기초~고급과정까지 & 이중언어과정 및 미술/음악교육 등 전 과정에 걸쳐 도움의 손길이 많이
필요합니다. 교사로 지원해 주시고자 하시는 분은 아래 연락처로 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.
* 교사 자녀 장학금 지원 제도
* 교사 경험이 없으신 분도 교내 교사훈련을 거쳐 경력을 쌓으실 수 있도록 충분히 지원해 드립니다.
* 매년 2회 이상의 지역과 외부 연수는 물론 온라인 교사연수 관련 지원을 받습니다.
학부모님의 귀한 자녀들이 한국학교에서 재미있고 열심히 공부할 수 있도록 늘 최선을 다 하겠습니다.
