(보스톤 = 보스톤코리아) 편집부 = 재미한국학교NE 지역협의회(이현경회장, 윤미아이사장)는 노스앤도버 소재 롤링릿지 파크에서 그림그리기 및 민속놀이 행사를 5월 25일 개최했다.
 
이날 그림그리기 대회에는 약 80명의 학생들이 참여하여 한시간 동안 그림을 그렸고, 점심 식사 후에는 진태원 전 이사장이 준비한 양궁, 국궁 그리고 널을 아이들에게 직접 소개하고 직접 체험하는 시간을 가졌다. 
 
이날 그림그리기 대회에서는 이준호 학생(뉴잉글랜드)이 전체 대상인 총영사상을, 문여원 학생(내슈아한마음)이 전체 우수상인 협의회장상을 각각 수상했다. 
 
이현경 회장은 “아이들이 모처럼 주말 한국학교 시간에 그림도 그리고 민속놀이도 배우며 다른학교 학생들과 만나는 귀한 시간을 가졌다”면서 “날씨 또한 화창하여 모두들에게 좋은 시간이 되어 감사하다”고 말했다.
 
Student Lee Jun-ho wins the Consul General Award in Drawing Contest
 
(Boston = Boston Korea) Editorial Department = The American Korean School Association's NE Regional Council (President Lee Hyeon-kyeong, Chairman Yoon Mi-a) held a drawing contest and folk game festival at Rolling Ridge Park in North Andover on May 25.
 
That day, about 80 students participated in the drawing contest, drawing for an hour, and after lunch, Ex-Chairman Jin Tae-won introduced the archery, Korean traditional archery, and lay-board jumping which he had prepared to the children, who had the opportunity to experience it themselves. 
 
In the drawing competition, Lee Jun-ho (New England) won the Consul General Award, which was the grand prize, and Moon Yeo-won (Nashua Hanmaeum) won the Council Chairman Award, which was the general excellence award.
 

Chairman Lee Hyun-kyung said, “For a change from Korean school on the weekends, the children had a precious time to meet with other Korean school students while learning folk games and drawing,” and added that "I am also thankful for the nice weather that let everyone have a good time."
